Meet the face of Adelaide Fashion Festival 2012

Congratulations to the stunning Melissa ‘MJ’ Johanssen, on becoming the face of this years Adelaide Fashion Festival. Announced last night at classy affair at Adelaide’s Richmond Hotel, Alice Spring local MJ decided to pursue modelling after entering a Finesse Modelling competition in Colonnades only two years ago. Since then, the stunning blonde has starred on many international runways including New York fashion week, London fashion week and here in Australia has shared the runway with modelling elite, such as Jennifer Hawkins, when Myer launched their new-season collection this month.

Walking the catwalk for the Adelaide Fashion Festival in 2010 saw her chosen to model at Australian Fashion Week in May 2011 for a bevy of amazing labels, including Magdalena Velevska, Yeojin Bae and Camilla and Marc. Other labels that she has modeled internationally include Rodarte, Band of Outsiders, Antipodium, Mulberry, Peter Pilotto and Charlotte Ronson. It only seems right that she has come the full circle and will now star in the festival that began it all as the face of 2012.
