Of imposing height

Red Cross jacket  |  Sportsgirl top  |  Kmart jeans | Riccardo Banfi from cherri bellini shoes |  Colette necklace  |  cherri bellini ring

Mt. Lofty. The highest point in the Mt Lofty Ranges, and one of the most picturesque places in Adelaide. The lookout sits atop a mammoth climb (or an easy drive…hey, like I was going to hike it in these bad boys??) and is completely surrounded by the rolling Adelaide Hills, so if the walk up didn’t knock the breath out of you the panoramic view over Adelaide most definitely will. Finding it empty like this is also a treat, as it is usually full with tourists and hikers. I think the emptiness adds to the imposing nature of how high up this is – and also the eery surrounds that loom over you. This place is certainly lofty.

It’s also one of the coldest places in Adelaide. Man, it was freezing! Like, so darn cold. So I welcomed the opportunity to test my new jacket find from the Red Cross Vintage Fashion store on Rundle street (such a good place for op shop treats, especially if you’re the kind of person that can’t be bothered with all that ‘rummaging through old things’ kinda stuff). Seriously, I can’t explain how much I love this jacket already. Pockety goodness, snug shoulders, sweet belt up option and a cape finish for only $25.95. Very comfy, and very warm! Not that you could guess the temperature, since we timed it perfectly with the sun illuminating the cloud cover – giving it the feeling of a dream world.

“Standing in a dream world, sitting next to you, up in the clouds, up up in the clouds, up up in the clouds. Sitting on the edge, looking down at the earth” – Sbtrkt

Stay rad my friends x

Great find!! There are loads of charity shops here in the UK as well, and I like rummaging through them mostly to find jewellery I can take apart/revamp!

That is such a good idea, never even thought about revamping jewellery! I love your DIY post with the spikes. It looks SO good 🙂 I am inspired to look for jewellery too now!
