Carpe Diem launch party photo diary

For the red carpet launch of all encompassing Adelaide production company Carpe Diem, Red Love played host to a delightful evening of fashion, fun and some good ol’ dancing. My friend Alexandra Ireland was one of the two featured designers to have work showcased on the late night catwalk with her label Necia. Beautifully tailored with remarkable attention to architectural details, her work is simply stunning. I have always been a fan of well made pieces that will look great while surviving beyond the fickle trends, and her tones also sing to my easy to wear and mostly neutral palate (tonight excepted!).

The aim of Carpe Diem is to bring together local masters at all crafts including modelling, photography, makeup, marketing, design and the entertainment industry for a one stop shop for all things production. It is pleasing to see the effort to promote local talent where often the focus is on the national and international.

Necia will be holding a pop up store later on this year for any one interested in purchasing pieces and I will certainly keep you posted (and/or be elbowing you out the way when it arrives). Click here for more details on Necia the label and here for a link to Carpe Diem’s website.

Stay rad my lovelies!
